Selected by WBDM for its international events
Diane Steverlynck created her studio in 2003 after studying at La Cambre (visual arts and textile). Since then she develops objects and textile accessories for companies and for private interior projects. She also works on self-initiated projects and productions and is active in the teaching area. She follows a personal approach centred on objects and textiles. Her work focus is research on textiles, materials and structures and their influence on the use and identity of everyday objects. Behind each of her pieces, there is a story, one that involves material, people, usage and memory.
In 2014, she founded, together with Anne Masson and Eric Chevalier, Lænd, a signature for projects and objects. They design and produce self initiated products in the field of textile, such as exclusive bedspreads, rugs, cushions and blankets.
