Set up in 2011, Belgian Spirit was an initiative of the three regions of Belgium, which chose the Business of Design Week (BoDW) in Hong Kong as its launch pad for the Asian continent, for fashion, design and architecture.

BODW is a major annual event organised by the Hong Kong Design Center, which aims to position the city as a design hub in Asia. Besides its Forum, a benchmark for global design trends, it also incorporates Detour, an ‘off’ programme aimed at the general public and professionals.
