While Dries Van Noten has just announced that he will be leaving his brand after his next show in June, our partner Catwalk Pictures captured for us the highlights of the shows by Belgian designers who presented their collection at the recent Paris Fashion Week: Dries van Noten of course, but also, among others, Ester Manas, Anthony Vaccarello (Saint Laurent), Glenn Martens (Y/Project), Marine Serre (French, but graduated of La Cambre Mode[s], Brussels) and Nicolas Di Felice (Courrèges).
Alongside these shows, Jean-Paul Gaultier announced the invitation to the talented Nicolas di Felice to design the next haute-couture collection. Since 2020, having cut his teeth at Dior alongside Raf Simons, the Belgian designer at the helm of the French label Courrèges has brought a breath of fresh air to the brand, revisiting its codes. Next June, he will present his interpretation of the Maison Jean-Paul Gaultier, as have done the previous guests, including Glenn Martens, another very prominent Belgian designer who has tried his hand at this exercise with brio.
