The NEB Prizes (New European Bauhaus Prizes) are an annual competition celebrating innovative projects and ideas that embody the NEB values of sustainability, inclusivity and beauty. Since their launch, the NEB Prizes have attracted over 5,000 entries and awarded 1.54 million euros to 72 winners.

The NEB Prizes aim to encourage creativity and innovation by providing a platform for exemplary projects; the awards encourage young talent and professionals to develop new ideas and concepts. They also help to promote sustainable and inclusive projects, as the winning entries demonstrate how NEB values can be integrated into concrete, inspiring solutions for local communities and society as a whole.
The NEB Prizes are a unique opportunity for designers, creators and innovators to showcase their work, gain international recognition and receive financial support for their projects.
The 2025 prizes will be awarded to 22 winners and finalists in the four categories established on the basis of the thematic axes of transformation that guide the implementation of the new European Bauhaus:
- Reconnecting with nature
- Regaining a sense of place
- Prioritizing the places and people who need it most
- Creating a circular industrial ecosystem and supporting life-cycle thinking
Each category has two strands of competition:
- Champions: Existing and completed projects aligned with NEB values and principles. Winners and runners-up receive €30,000 and €20,000 respectively, plus a communications package.
- Rising Stars: Concepts proposed by young talents under the age of 30. Winners and runners-up receive 15,000 euros and 10,000 euros respectively, plus a communications package.
Opportunity for Belgian designers and architects
The NEB Prizes are open to projects and concepts implemented in the European Union, the Western Balkans and Ukraine. Projects must align with the NEB values of sustainability, inclusivity and aesthetics.
An application must include :
- a detailed description of the project or concept.
- images and/or videos illustrating the work.
- an explanation of how the project embodies NEB’s values.
Applications for the NEB Prizes 2025 are open until February 21, 2025 and must be submitted online.
After submission, projects will be evaluated by an expert jury. The winners will be announced at an official ceremony and will receive financial support as well as a communication package to promote their projects.
