What can WBDM do for you?
- Fashion Programme
The programme
Every year since 2017, the Fashion Programme has offered a grant to 2 – 4 Belgian brands to finance the development of a project. Another 6-8 entrepreneurs receive a coaching grant to work with experts in the fashion sector.
The objective
To support the beneficiaries of these grants in their international development strategy from a commercial perspective, in particular through their communication. The grants awarded are used for one year by the beneficiaries.
How to apply?
A selection process is set up by WBDM. It progresses in 2 phases: once an application is submitted, it is presented to a jury of international experts.
Admission requirement
The applicant needs to be an established professional in the fashion or design sector, and based in Wallonia or Brussels.

- Belgian Fashion Awards
The programme
The Belgian Fashion Awards have been held since 2017 and aim to highlight the reputation, creativity and diversity of Belgian fashion talent and brands, both nationally and internationally.
The objective
These Awards showcase the actors of the Belgian fashion sector.
How do the nominations work?
A Belgian jury selects and submits the candidates to an international jury.
Belgian brands can also submit their application for the categoty “Fashion Brand of the Year“.
The partners
The event is organised in collaboration with Knack Weekend/Le Vif Weekend, Flanders DC, MAD – Home of Creators.

- Individual Coaching
The programme
Specialists guide fashion professionals to revise or perfect an aspect of their global and/or digital strategy, with a focus on international development.
The beneficiaries of this programme receive the funds to hire the coach of their choice.
The objective
To provide personalised support to the beneficiaries.
How to apply?
A selection process is set up by WBDM on the basis of applications.
Admission requirement
The applicant needs to be an established professional in the fashion sector, and based in Wallonia or Brussels.

The service
WBDM makes its expertise and network available to its beneficiaries, to prepare and support their international development and enhance their reputation and visibility.
The objective
To allow the supported brands to integrate the international dimension in their development, and identify the resources at their disposal.
